Blanton, Guy Named Papa John's Athletes Of The Week

Each week, the Bowling Green State University Athletic Department names the Papa John's Athletes of the Week, as selected by the athletic communications department based on their athletic performances from the previous week. This week's winners are baseball player T.J. Blanton and gymnast Breanne Guy.
Male Athlete of the Week
T.J. Blanton, a senior from Sandusky, Ohio, had home runs in three consecutive at-bats during game one of a doubleheader against Eastern Kentucky Saturday, including an inside-the-park variety for the third. He added seven RBI, four runs, and a pair of stolen bases in the game. For the weekend, Blanton went 7-for-13 (.538 batting average) with four homers, nine RBI, three stolen bases, and 19 total bases. As a result of his performance against EKU, Blanton was named the MAC East Player of the Week on March 22, 2010.
Female Athlete of the Week
Breanne Guy, a senior from Bradenton, Fla., matched her season best with a 38.925 in the gymnastics all-around as Bowling Green posted a 194.375 Sunday for the program's highest score in five years. The senior scored a 9.700 on the vault, a 9.800 on the bars, a 9.675 on the balance beam, and a 9.750 on the floor.
