Meisler, Prochaska Named Papa John's Athletes Of The Week

Each week, the Bowling Green State University Athletic Department names the Papa John's Athletes of the Week, as selected by the athletic communications department based on their athletic performances from the previous week. This week's winners are baseball player Logan Meisler and women's basketball player Lauren Prochaska.
Male Athlete of the Week
Logan Meisler, a senior from Port Clinton, Ohio shone through the first two games of the RussMatt Central Florida Invitational going a combined 4-for-8 with two walks against Northeastern and Rhode Island. He also scored five runs, hit a pair of triples and notched four RBI in those two games. In the Falcons' 13-9 win over Northeastern (March 6), Meisler went 2-for-3, scoring four times and recording a pair of RBI on a two-run single during BGSU's four-run seventh inning that broke the game open. On Sunday (March 7), he went 2-for-5 with an RBI triple during a five-run fifth inning in the team's 9-8 loss to Rhode Island.
Female Athlete of the Week
Lauren Prochaska, a junior from Plain City, Ohio, scored a game-high 25 points as the Falcons downed Miami, 63-58, to win a sixth-straight outright MAC regular season title. She added seven rebounds and tied for game-high honors with three steals. As well, Prochaska made 4-of-9 three-pointers to set a single-season record in three-point field goals made with 80. She became just the fourth player in BGSU history to surpass the 1,600-point plateau.
