The Bowling Green State University gymnastics team dropped a 189.550-185.750 on Saturday afternoon in Ypsilanti, Mich. The Falcons are now 1-5 overall and 0-4 in Mid-American Conference play.
On vault the Falcons recorded a team score of 46.700, led by freshman Megan Valentini (9.600) and senior Amber Brewer (9.500).
Brewer and Monica Eaton were the top finishers for the Orange and Brown on the uneven bars with scores of 9.625 and 9.450. Brewer finished second overall on the event.
The Falcons third event of the afternoon was the floor exercise where Valentini finished third with a 9.575.
BGSU finished the meet with a trip to the balance beam where Megan Harrington and Eaton finished in a tie for first with a score of 9.450.
The Falcons return to action next Sunday (Feb. 20) for a home meet versus Ball State.
