The Bowling Green State University track and field team will host the BGSU Opener on Saturday, Jan. 14 inside the Perry Fieldhouse. Field events begin at 10:30 a.m., with running events starting at Noon.
First year head coach Lou Snelling will lead the Falcons in a seven team meet. Coach Snelling sat down fo a five minute interview to talk about the upcoming season.

Facility
200 meter Chemturf Track (Flat) with six lanes on the oval and eight lanes in the straightaways. Throwing rings are ply wood. Spikes may not exceed ¼ inch. Shower facilities are available but limited. No linens will be provided.
Facility Rules
BGSU is not responsible for lost or stolen items. No gum or sunflower seeds. No spikes are allowed in the infield, lobby, or spectator areas. Areas that are roped off are for your protection; they are to be avoided at all times unless you are in that designated area for competition. No balls, Frisbees, etc. are permitted.
Parking
Buses, spectators and any vehicles used to transport teams will be able to park free of charge in the parking lot surrounding Perry Fieldhouse. The east end of the facility should be used first. Buses must use the north end of the parking lot.
Format
The format for this meet will be a women's only open, scored meet. Unattached entries will be accepted but must be approved by Matt Conly by e-mail at mconly@bgsu.edu. NO high school athletes.
Warm-up Area
The turf building at Perry Fieldhouse will be available as a warm-up area for the meet. No spikes are permitted on the turf field, except in the high jump competition (limit 1/4” spikes).
Concessions
Food and refreshments will be sold during the meet.
Heat Sheets
Heat sheets will be included in team packets. They will also be posted at www.finishtiming.com as well as BG Track & Field.
Results
Results will be posted live through www.finishtiming.com and bgsufalcons.com as well as on site at Perry Fieldhouse.
Training Room
BGSU trainers will be on site for the meet. A list of available treatments/services will be sent in advance to each team from the BGSU Athletic Training Department. Trainers will be on site an hour before the start of the meet and up to an hour after its completion.
Spectator Admission
Spectator admission will be $3.00 for adults and $1.00 for non-BGSU students with ID. BGSU students and Children under 10 are admitted free.
