Falcons Compete At AT&T Winter Nationals

Knoxville, Tenn. – Five Bowling Green State University swimmers competed at the USA Swimming AT&T Winter National Championships this weekend, continuing to build towards the second half of the season.
Maya Skorupski, Daniela Carillo, Jordan Bullock and Joelle Scheps swam in the medley relay events as well as individually, while Stephanie Boyle swam in three individual events.
The Falcons were unable to reach the finals in any individual event against some of the strongest competition in the country, but continued to progress. Bullock swam 2:04.08 in the 200 butterfly, the best time for a BGSU swimmer this year in the event. The top individual placing was Boyle's 28th place finish in the 400 individual medley in 4:35.34.
The 400 medley relay swam a 3:47.70 to place 14th and the 200 medley relay ended 15th in both the prelims and finals, finishing in 1:45.82 during the opening round.
As a team, the Falcons are now off until competing at the Tampa Relays Jan. 4.
