Losby, Chiricosta Named Pizza Hut Athletes Of The Week

Each week, the Bowling Green State University Athletic Department names the Pizza Hut Athletes of the Week, as selected by the athletic communications department based on their athletic performances from the previous week. This week's winners are baseball player T.J. Losby and tennis player Nikki Chiricosta.
Male Athlete of the Week
T.J. Losby, a junior from Bryan, Ohio, played an integral role in Friday's 7-5 win over Illinois State. He went 3-for-5 in the game, driving in two runs with a two-run home run in the top of the fourth. Losby also doubled and scored two runs in the contest. On the weekend, he collected four hits.
Female Athlete of the Week
Nikki Chiricosta, a junior from Avon Lake, Ohio, went 4-0 on the weekend as BGSU beat Butler and UIC by identical 5-2 scores to tie the school record with 11 consecutive wins. Chiricosta teamed with Emily Reuland for 8-2 and 9-7 wins at the top of the doubles lineup and won twice at No. 2 singles.
