Each week, the Bowling Green State University Athletic Department names the Pizza Hut Athletes of the Week, as selected by the athletic communications department based on their athletic performances from the previous week. This week's winners are baseball player Cody Apthorpe and track and field athlete Brooke Pleger.

Male Athlete of the Week
Cody Apthorpe, a junior from Windham, Ohio, collected his first win of the season Friday, combining with Nick Bruns for the first shutout the Falcons have recorded since April 8, 2011. Apthorpe went 7.1 innings, outdueling CMU's Jordan Foley for the 1-0 victory.
