Angola, Ind. – The Bowling Green State University women's golf team suffered a head-to-head dual match loss to the Western Michigan Broncos on Thursday afternoon at the WMU vs. BGSU Dual Match held at the Glendarin Hills Golf Club in Angola, Ind.

The Falcons carded a team score of 320, which was a total of 16 strokes behind the Broncos team score of 304.

BGSU was led by freshman Mikayla Baer who carded a low round 78, +6, while both Bailey Arnold and Patricia Holt each turned in an 18-hole score of 79, +7.

Sophomore Hannah Lewis shot an 84, +12, while reigning MAC Women's Golfer of the Week Lily Bartell posted a score of 85, +13.

However, the lowest score of the day for the Falcons came from senior Kelsey Benson who turned in a season-low 77, +5, as an individual over the one-day event.

Sophomore Lauren Diehl tied her season-low 18-hole score with an 80, +8, as she liked Benson, competed as an individual.

Fran Rodriguez and Julia Hoffman, who also teed-off as individuals on Thursday, carded rounds of 83, +11, and 85, +13, respectively.

A trio of Broncos in Heather Marks, Kaitlyn Watkins and Emma Salata each posted rounds of 75, +3, to lead Western Michigan to the dual match win.

The Falcons will next compete at the Mid-American Conference Championships on April 25-27 hosted by Ball State University at the Hawthorns Golf & Country Club in Fishers, Indiana.
