Losby Named MAC Scholar Athlete Of The Week

CLEVELAND, Ohio - Bowling Green State University senior T.J. Losby was named Mid-American Conference Male Scholar Athlete of the Week, announced by the conference office on Wednesday afternoon. A native of Bryan, Ohio, Losby earns the award for the first time in 2014. He holds a 3.242 grade point average in accounting.
Losby led the Falcons' offensive charge over the weekend, as he guided Bowling Green to their second consecutive series victory in MAC play. Losby led the team by going 8-for-12 (.667) over the weekend with a team-high four RBI. In Sunday's second game, Losby tied a career-high, by going 5-for-5. He also scored two runs and had two RBI. In Saturday's narrow 3-1 win, Losby went 2-for-3, delivering a clutch RBI in the win. The five hits on Sunday were a single-game high for any Bowling Green player this season.
The Falcons will return home this weekend as they host Central Michigan to continue MAC play. The games will be played at Warren E. Steller Field. Friday's contest will start at 3:05 p.m., while Saturday and Sunday will feature a 1:05 p.m. first pitch.
