WHAT COACH SAYS
"We get to go head-to-head with a lot of MAC competition on Saturday. That will be a good opportunity to see how we measure up, with the MAC Championships just two weeks away," said BGSU cross country head coach Lou Snelling. "Our front end is in a great place right now, but our depth will really determine a lot of our team success."
MEN'S CROSS COUNTRY
BGSU will run in the 8,000-meter Blue race and will be one of 41 teams in that event. All 41 teams are regionally ranked and eight are nationally ranked. The field includes ten of the top 15 teams in the Great Lakes region, including No. 1 Indiana. It also features the No. 1 teams from the South Central, Southeast and West regions. Nathan Kuck (24:47.4) was BGSU's top runner and finished 32nd at last year's Pre-Nationals.
WOMEN'S CROSS COUNTRY
The Falcons will run at 11:00 a.m. in the 6,000-meter White event. BGSU is one of 29 teams in the race and one of six from the MAC to participate. Eight of the participating teams are regionally ranked, including three from the Great Lakes. Rachel Walny set a BGSU 6K record (20:28.1) and finished 20th at the 2015 Pre-Nationals.
