Lancaster, Ohio – Junior Falcon golfer Fran Rodriguez carded a Bowling Green low round 78, +6, on Saturday at the Snowman Classic held at the par 72, 6,003-yards course at the Lancaster Country Club in Lancaster, Ohio. In the dual match with Ohio, the Falcons are three strokes behind the Bobcats at 314 to 317. However, four of the five Falcons are in the top-five heading into the final day of play on Sunday.

"Given that this was the first opportunity to see and play the course, we had a lot of good things happen today," stated head coach Stephanie Young. "We are looking forward to building on today's experience and going lower tomorrow."

Rodriguez birdied holes No. 8 and No. 9 to go along with nine pars over her 18-holes of play to shoot a round of 78, +6. Her BGSU low round of the day placed the junior in second-place overall heading into the final day of play on Sunday.

Just one stroke behind Rodriguez is senior Hannah Lewis with a round of 79, +7. Lewis recorded a team-high three birdies and seven pars on the day to place in a tie for third after 18 holes of play.

Tied for fifth-place overall are Falcons Erin Fahey and Mikayla Baer. Fahey registered 10 pars en route to her score of 80, +8, while Baer also tallied 10 pars, but added a birdie on the par-5 No. 8 to card her round of 80, +8.

Lily Bartell rounded out the BGSU lineup with a first round score of 83, +11. The senior birdied the par 3 No. 5 hole to go along with seven pars on Saturday.

Ohio's Hailey Hrynewich leads the tournament field with a score of 73, +1.

The final round of play is set for a 9 a.m. ET start tomorrow morning.
