YPSILANTI, Mich. – The Bowling Green State University women's golf program carded a season-low 912 to finish second of 10 schools at the inaugural Shirley Spork EMU Invitational (Oct. 9-10). Bowling Green's 912 is the fifth best 54-hole score in program history. Marshall won the tournament with an 896.

The Falcons, after shooting a 600 (302, 298) through the first two rounds to sit in second, posted a 312 today to stay locked into second over the final 18 holes. Bowling Green finished ahead of all four MAC schools at the tournament. The Falcons have now finished no lower than second over the last two tournaments.

"We are pleased with a runner-up finish this week amongst such a talented field," said head coach Stephanie Young. "Our goal now is to maintain our successful momentum, and finish strong at Dayton."

Individually, the Falcons were led by Nichole Cox, who finished tied for fifth with a 226. Erin Fahey was next in line, as she finished tied for 10th with a 228. Julia Durkin, who shot a 229, was close hind with a tied for 12th finish.

* Cox led the field with a 2.67 scoring average on par threes.
* Cox pushed her streak of consecutive rounds under 79 to 14.
* Erin Fahey recorded the ninth top-10 finish of her career, as she shot a 228 to finish tied for 10th. Fahey has finished in the top 10 in four of BGSU's five tournaments in 2017-18.
