With the win, the Jackrabbits improved to 8-2 on the season. SDSU entered the game receiving votes in both national top-25 polls, and the Jacks are currently ranked second in the CollegeInsider.com Mid-Major poll.
The Falcons saw a four-game winning streak snapped. BG lost for just the second time in nine games this season, and the first time in five games away from home.
Miller had a game-high nine rebounds to go along with her 22 points, while Madison Guebert joined her in double figures with 11 points on the evening.
For the Falcons, 12 different players scored, but none scored more than seven points. Sophomore Andrea Cecil had seven points, while junior Maddie Cole scored six. Cole led the Falcons with three field goals made, going 3-for-4 from the floor.

QUOTING COACH ROOS
"(SDSU Coach) Aaron (Johnston) has a fantastic team. He's got a team that's not only talented, but plays very hard. It reminds me a lot of our 2007 team that went to the Sweet Sixteen. I'm disappointed that we couldn't play better tonight. It was a great environment, and we knew what we were walking into."
"They were much more physical than we were, and when you get outrebounded by more than 20, that's a tell-tale sign. They had a lot of second and third opportunities. We did a good job of boxing out in the beginning, but couldn't always get to the ball after shots rimmed out for them. But, they are relentless, and they played with a lot of passion and heart. And, I can't say enough about Macy Miller. What a fantastic story she is."
"Again, we knew what we were facing tonight. I have no doubt that South Dakota State will be ranked in the next poll. We haven't been outrebounded like that all season long. We have the ability to do better, and I know we will do better, but this is a South Dakota State team that is rolling right now, and they are a talented, hard-working team."

FIRST-QUARTER HIGHLIGHTS

- Out of the timeout, however, Rylie Cascio Jensen hit a corner three, and a pair of Madison Guebert free throws gave the hosts a 9-2 lead.

- Lambert hit a nifty driving layup to stop the run, but Alexis Alexander answered with a putback. Cecil got to the line and hit a pair of shots, but Miller made a steal and hit an athletic and-one transition layup to begin another double-digit run for the Jacks.
- Miller missed the ensuing free throw, but would score in the lane on the next possession. She would wind up scoring nine of her team's points during an 11-0 run. Miller's jumper with 1:42 left in the half gave the hosts a 41-18 lead.
- Cecil hit a free throw, and junior Maddie Cole stole the ball from Myah Selland. The next possession saw Cole hit a turnaround jumper after a pass by freshman Madisen Parker.
