Gustafson Breaks School Shot Put Record Again
January 13, 2018 | Women's Track and Field
Kent, Ohio – Bowling Green senior Aliyah Gustafson broke her own school record in the shot put as the BGSU Track & Field team returned from more than a month away from competition to compete at the Doug Raymond Invitational Saturday, hosted by Kent State.
Team scores were kept in dual meet fashion with Bowling Green defeating Toledo 70-45 and Cleveland State 81-39. Kent State edged out the Falcons 68-64.
Gustafson entered the day ranked 10th nationally in the shot put after breaking the school record in December's season-opener. She pushed that record almost six inches further Saturday, tossing the apparatus 54-feet-3.75 (16.55m).
