Robertson earns College Soccer News accolades for the first time in his Falcon career.
Robertson, a native of Springfield, Ohio (Catholic Central), scored both BG goals in the Falcons' lone match last week, a 2-1 victory over Valparaiso on Saturday evening (Sept. 29) at Cochrane Stadium. The multiple-goal match was the first of his career.
The tri-captain's two goals came just over seven minutes apart, giving the Falcons a 2-0 lead with only 17 minutes elapsed. He converted a cross from sophomore Vinny Worner at the 9:43 mark to put the Falcons ahead for good, then doubled the lead with a shot from the top of the 18 with 17:04 elapsed.
Robertson, who entered the match as BGSU's leading point-scorer, now has nine points on the two goals and a team-leading five assists this season. He has been involved in the scoring of seven of the Falcons' 10 goals this season to date. Robertson now has 28 career points on six goals and 16 assists, leading all active Falcons in the latter category.
BGSU begins Mid-American Conference play on Saturday night (Oct. 6), hosting Akron in a 7:00 p.m. start at Cochrane Stadium. As always, admission is free to all BGSU regular-season home soccer action.
