BGSU Ranked No. 20 In USCHO Poll

Bowling Green, Ohio – The Bowling Green State University hockey team has been ranked No. 20 in this week's official USCHO poll.
This comes after Bowling Green opened the 2018-19 season with a dominating 8-2 victory over the Lakers of Mercyhurst on Saturday night (Oct. 6) at the Mercyhurst Ice Center.
The Falcons scored eight times on 35 shots with three power play goals.
Stephen Baylis had a hat trick scoring three times with an assist capping off a four point night for the senior captain.
Freshman Tim Theocharidis also joined in on the scoring with his first career goal for the Orange and Brown.
BGSU is one of three WCHA teams in the poll, joining No. 11 Minnesota State and No. 19 Michigan Tech.
The Falcons next game will be on the road Tuesday Oct. 9 at No. 18 Western Michigan.
Bowling Green opens the home portion of their regular season schedule on Sunday night (Oct. 14) at 5:07 p.m. when they host Robert Morris University at Slater Family Ice Arena.
It is the second game in a home-and-home series between BGSU and RMU, as the Falcons will travel to Pittsburgh on Friday Oct. 12.
