UP NEXT FOR THE FALCONS...Â
The Bowling Green State University women's basketball team hits the road for the Thanksgiving holiday, heading to Conway, S.C., for a pair of games this weekend. Head coach Robyn Fralick and the Falcons will face Coastal Carolina University on Friday (Nov. 23), with tipoff set for 2:00 p.m. at the HTC Center.
The BGSU-CCU matchup is part of opening-day action at the Coastal Carolina Tournament. The Falcons will return to the HTC Center on Sunday (Nov. 25), meeting Mercer University in an 11:30 a.m. start.
SETTING THE SCENE...
The Falcons are 3-1 on the young season. After dropping the opener at Michigan State, BGSU has won three-straight games, all at home. The Falcons have averaged 82.7 points per game in those three wins.
The Falcons' two weekend opponents won a combined 47 games last season. Coastal Carolina went 17-14 overall a year ago, and the Chanticleers returned 11 of 12 student-athletes from that team.
Mercer posted a 30-3 overall record last season, winning the Southern Conference regular-season and tournament titles and advancing to the NCAA Tournament.

(Tweet this information, or recite these facts to your friends, and watch them marvel at your incredible BGSU women's basketball-related knowledge)
Freshman Morgan McMillen has scored in double digits in each of the first four games of her collegiate career. McMillen is the first Falcon to do so in eight years, since both Tracy Pontius and Lauren Prochaska hit double figures in the first four games of the 2010-11 seasons.
McMillen is the first freshman to score in double digits in the first four games of the season in at least 25 years.*
Fellow freshman Kadie Hempfling has posted double-digit rebound totals in each of the last three games, all wins. Hempfling is averaging 11.3 boards per game on the year, and has 14.0 rpg over those three contests.
Sophomore Angela Perry scored a total of 75 points in 18 games last season, an average of 4.2 points per outing. This season, after missing the opener due to injury, Perry has 51 points – 17.0 ppg – over the last three games.
Last year, the Falcons averaged 9.2 assists per game. This season, BGSU has dished out at least 12 assists in every game, and the Falcons have 18.0 apg.
BGSU scored 59 points in the second half, including 34 in the fourth quarter, of Tuesday's (Nov. 20) win over Loyola Chicago. The 59 points represented the Falcons' highest total in a half in nearly eight years, since BG scored 60 in the first half of an 86-62 win over Western Kentucky on Nov. 29, 2011.
The 2018-19 season is only the fourth year that NCAA women's basketball has utilized four 10-minute quarters, rather than two 20-minute halves. Nevertheless, the 34-point fourth quarter vs. Loyola Chicago is a new school record for the Falcons.
* no Falcon freshman has scored in double digits in each of the first four games since at least the 1993-94 season
LAST TIME OUT: FALCONS TOP LOYOLA FOR THIRD-STRAIGHT WIN
