SHOT PUT RECORD FALLS AGAIN
- Aliyah Gustafson broke her own shot put school record by throwing 57-feet-2 (17.42m). That distance is more than 15 inches further than when she last broke the record at the Tom Wright Open in January.
- Gustafson climbed four spots to No. 4 in the country in the shot put. She is less than six inches shy of Oklahoma's Jessica Woodard for third.
- Elizabeth Iversen also set a new personal best in the event, throwing 51-2.75 (15.61m). She is among the top 50 nationally in the event.
- True freshman Zaresha Neal set a new personal best at 45-11.75 (14.01m) and redshirt freshman Daija Young established a PR at 41-11.5 (12.79m).
- Gustafson and Iversen are the top two ranked shot putters in the MAC, while Neal is 11th.
OTHER BIG PERFORMANCES
- Redshirt senior Kyla Paster broke her own personal best in the triple jump with a leap of 38-feet-10.25 (11.84m). She earned the team's 11th MAC automatic qualifying mark of the year and her second (also qualifying in the long jump).
- Paster ranks eighth in the MAC with that leap and she remains fifth in program history in the event.
- Sophomore transfer Peyton Lee advanced to the finals of the 60 hurdles at the Meyo Invitational and did not disappoint, posting a personal best time of 8.52 seconds to finish sixth. Already a MAC automatic qualifier, it is tied for the fourth fastest race in BGSU history in the event. She sits sixth in the MAC this year.
- BGSU sent runners to both the Meyo Invitational and the Akron Invitational in the 400 and the Falcons brought home a plethora of personal bests.
- Among the seven BGSU student-athletes who competed in the 400 at the two sites, sophomore Chasatea Brown ran the best time with a PR 57.14 seconds at Notre Dame.
- Ryen Draper (57.83), Mis'cha Sellers (59.05) and Paige Geatz (60.40) also recorded new career bests. Rachel Stute (59.17) and Brianna Tidmore (59.37) had season-best times.
