Falcons Set To Host Mid-American Match Play Challenge

LAKEWOOD RANCH, Fla. – The Bowling Green State University women's golf program begins its spring schedule by hosting the Mid-American Match Play Challenge over Feb. 5-6. Matches get underway at 7:50 a.m. both mornings.

BGSU AT THE MID-AMERICAN MATCH PLAY CHALLENGE
• The Falcon-hosted event is entering its fifth-year of existence.
• The event takes place in Lakewood Ranch, Florida at the Lakewood Ranch Golf and Country Club (Par 72; 6,068 yards).
• The tournament features match play, pairing teams against each other in a bracket format.

Seed No. 2: Florida Gulf Coast
Seed No. 3: Northern Illinois
Seed No. 4: Akron
Seed No. 5: Western Michigan
Seed No. 6: Bowling Green

THE PATH FOR THE FALCONS
• The Falcons open play as the No. 6 seed, and will take on Mid-American Conference foe Central Michigan in the opening round.
• The two schools will begin on tee No. 10 and will begin the round at 8:25 a.m.
• If the Falcons beat CMU, Bowling Green will pair up with Northern Illinois in the quarterfinal round. That round would begin at approximately 12:35 p.m.
• If CMU wins in the first round, Bowling Green will face the loser of the Western Michigan vs. Fort Wayne matchup. That round would begin at approximately 1:10 p.m.
