BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – The Bowling Green State University women's golf program finished the opening 18 holes of the Dolores Black Falcon Invitational on Saturday (April 7) afternoon. The tournament, which is being hosted by Bowling Green, is being staged at Stone Ridge Golf Club.

Bowling Green is tied for ninth after the opening 18 holes. The Falcons carded a team score of 318. Bowling Green sits tied with Akron, and ahead of Oakland (321), Youngstown State (331), Western Michigan (332), Central Michigan (337), Detroit Mercy (341) and Lawrence Tech (361). Toledo carded a 304 to lead the 16-team field.

Madelynn Swank and Sammi Blackburn are inside the top 30 after day one. Swank carded a team low of 78, while Blackburn is close behind after scoring a 79. Swank is tied for 22nd, while Blackburn is tied for 30th.

All five players in the BGSU lineup carded at least one birdie. Blackburn and Julia Durkin registered a pair of birdies. Erin Fahey, Nichole Cox and Swank each recorded one apiece. Danielle Austinson (88), Sarah Kern (93) and Miranda Dubler (95) competed as individuals for BGSU.
