USTFCCCA Announces Academic Awards

New Orleans, La. – The United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced today that the Bowling Green State University track and field team was named an all-academic team for the 2018 season. As well, Kaila Butler, Aliyah Gustafson and Rachel Walny were named individual All-Academic award honorees.
Bowling Green's track and field program posted a cumulative 3.31 grade point average to earn recognition as a USTFCCCA All-Academic Team.
Butler, a junior-to-be, maintains a 3.58 grade point average as an education major. Both Gustafson and Walny enter their final seasons of competition in 2018-19 with undergraduate degrees in hand. Gustafson holds a 4.0 GPA in the kinesiology master's degree program, while Walny has a 3.67 GPA in the same program. Both Gustafson and Walny advanced to the NCAA Division I Outdoor Track & Field National Championships, while Gustafson also qualified for the indoor national championships.
