Gymnastics Welcomes Juliana Belar As Assistant Coach

Bowling Green, Ohio - The Bowling Green State University gymnastics program has announced that Juliana Belar will join the coaching staff for the Falcons this season. Belar comes from the University of New Hampshire where she has served as a Student-Assistant Gymnastics Coach since 2018 following her career as an athlete with UNH. Belar joins Sunny Marchand as the Assistant Coaches on Head Coach Kerrie Turner's staff.
"I am excited to welcome Juliana to our gymnastics staff," said Head Coach Kerrie Turner. "While Juliana is prepared to assist on any event, I expect she will quickly make an impact on floor with her background in floor choreography. Her positive energy will add to the culture of our program we are building and maintaining every day."
While with New Hampshire as a Student-Assistant, Belar helped coach valut, bars, beam and floor while choreographing routines for beam and floor, which resulted in scores of 49.0+ on numerous occasions. Belar also aided in the recruiting process at UNH, helping to oversee visits and travel itineraries. Belar additionally has experience as a Program Director & Head Gymnastics Team Coach with Flippin' Out Tumbling & Gymnastics in addition to being a Gymnastics Camp Coach.Â
As a member of the gymnastics team at the University of New Hampshire, Belar was named a WCGA Scholastic All-American three times while also being named to the EAGL All-Scholastic Team twice.Â
