Falcons Close Regular Season With Senior Night MAC Win

Bowling Green, Ohio – The Bowling Green State University gymnastics team closed the regular season with its best performance of the year, posting a 195.325 to defeat Western Michigan on Senior Night. The Broncos scored 194.075 in a losing effort.
It was the second consecutive week in which the Falcons posted a season-best score, following a 194.875 at Ohio State Saturday. The team scored a season-best 48.775 on bars and posted 24 clean routines.
Jovannah East scored a season-best 39.375 to win the all-around, and added event victories on beam and floor. Her all-around score is tied for the fifth-best all-around score in program history and is just .050 shy of her personal best score.

- Rachel Creagh posted a career-high 9.825 on vault, easily better than her previous best of 9.575.
- Lauren DeMeno had the highest team score on the event with a 9.850, tying for the event championship.
- Jovannah East added a 9.775, followed by Katie Morsefield at 9.725.
UNEVEN BARS
- BGSU scored 48.775 on bars, narrowly edging the team's previous season-high score of 48.750.
- Leslie Delgado anchored the event and set a personal best scored of 9.875. It is the seventh time this year that she has scored at least a 9.800.
- Jovannah East had a season-best 9.800 score.
- Lexi Augustine added a 9.725 and Katie Morsefield tied her personal best with a 9.700.
BALANCE BEAM
- The Falcons scored 48.725 on balance beam, their lowest event score of the night, but the team recorded five scores of at least 9.625.
- Jovannah East won the beam with a 9.925, her tenth consecutive score of at least 9.800 on the event.
- Taylor Worthington added a 9.775 and Julia Beyer had a 9.725.
FLOOR EXERCISE
- Bowling Green closed the meet with its highest event score, a 48.950 on floor.
- Jovannah East closed the meet with an event-winning 9.875, her sixth consecutive score of 9.800 or higher on the event.
- Lexi Augustine added 9.850, her fifth 9.800+ score of the season and her ninth consecutive 9.700 or higher score.
- Katie Morsefield just missed her personal best with a 9.775. Twice this year, she has recorded a 9.800 on floor.
- Elena Lawson added 9.775, while Julia Byer and Kayla Rose each scored 9.650.
THE ALL-AROUND
- Jovannah East won the all-around with a score of 39.375.
- East posted a season-best score by finishing with a 9.775 or higher on each of the four rotations.
