BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – The Bowling Green State University baseball team is set to host the Central Michigan University Chippewas at Steller Field this weekend for a three-game Mid-American Conference series. The series opener is set for 3:05 p.m. on Friday, May 2.
Â
With nine league games remaining, the Falcons sit three games back of the last spot in the 2019 MAC Tournament. Ohio currently holds that last seed with a 9-9 record, but over the next two weekends, the Bobcats face Miami and Ball State – two of the top three teams in the MAC.
Â
Bowling Green also plays six of its final nine MAC games at Steller Field. Following this weekend, the Falcons host Kent State before wrapping up the regular season at Northern Illinois.

COACH SCHMITZ QUOTE
"This is a big weekend for the BGSU Baseball family and our program. There is a lot going on at Steller Field and our guys are excited for another home series. The season is winding down and I expect our team to play with a lot of urgency and focus. We've been in a lot of close games, and it's time to get over the hump and make the important plays to win ballgames."
