BGSU alumnus Cathy Copeland Mock '76 was the Distinguished Alumnus award winner. A former women's basketball player, Mock is the Director of Supplier Diversity at Cardinal Health in Dublin, Ohio, seeking out and identifying opportunities for diverse groups of suppliers – women-owned, minority-owned and veteran-owned businesses – to establish a business relationship with Cardinal Health. In 2018, she was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Ohio Minority Supplier Development Council and the award was renamed in her honor for future generations.
BGSU's grounds department was the Distinguished Service award winner. BGSU's fields and facilities are maintained at an elite level thanks to the often-thankless work of the grounds department.
Noah Schaub, of the men's cross country team, and Kallie Seimet, of the volleyball team, earned the highest honor given to a student-athlete – The Falcon Medal of Honor. The award is given to one male and one female student-athlete who embody the essence of the qualities BGSU Athletics hold important for all student-athletes.
Track and field star Aliyah Gustafson earned the Female Athlete of the Year award for the third consecutive year, joined by men's basketball's Justin Turner as Male Athlete of the Year. Men's golfer Pablo Heredia Iglesias and Seimet were named the department's Senior Scholar-Athletes of the Year.
Frederic LeTourneau, of the hockey team, and Mauren Kennedy, of women's soccer, earned the Junior Scholar-Athlete of the Year awards while men's basketball's Michael Laster and volleyball's Kaitlyn Meyer were the Newcomers of the Year. The Comeback Performance of the Year Award was given to the women's soccer team for the second consecutive year, this time for overcoming a deficit in penalty kicks in the MAC Championship game to earn the conference crown and an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.
The men's cross country team and gymnastics teams were recognized for having the highest team grade point averages in the department. Softball's Kiley Sosby was the Community Service Individual of the Year and the gymnastics team was the Community Service Team of the Year. A new award was established this year, with swim/dive's Amanda Washko being named the Individual Inclusion award and the gymnastics team earning the Team Inclusion award.
Finally, in voting via Twitter, Trey Walker of the men's golf team was named Best Dressed at the Ziggy's, while the track and field team earned team Best Dressed honors.
