BGSU Gymnastics Adds Five For 2021-22 Class

Bowling Green, Ohio – Bowling Green State University gymnastics head coach Kerrie Turner has announced the addition of five Falcons for the 2021-22 school year. BGSU welcomes Lexi Bornhorn (Independence, Ky.), Emily Castiglia (Wanaque, N.J.), Kennady Kreinbrink (Maumee, Ohio), Baylie Lawrence (Hilliard, Ohio), and Kathryn Weilbacher (Houston, Texas).
"I am so excited to welcome such a talented class of gymnastics student-athletes to BGSU," Turner said. "It has been such a pleasure to get to know these young women through the recruiting process and I can't wait for them to arrive and make an immediate impact on our program. The future is looking very strong for Falcon Gymnastics."
BGSU Gymnastics went 10-12 during the 2020 season, making an eight-win improvement over the previous campaign. The Falcons will get the 2021 season underway season, returning ten members of last year's team, along with the addition of seven newcomers.
Turner begins her 14th season at the helm of the BGSU Gymnastics program after serving four years as an assistant coach for the Falcons. The 2013 MAC Coach of the Year, she has mentored 10 MAC Champions and 26 NCAA regional qualifiers, as well as one NCAA National qualifier.

- Daughter of Stephanie and Joshua Bornhorn
- Has two brothers, Ben and Bradley
- Has one sister, Aubrey
- Plans to study nursing with aspirations of becoming a registered nurse

Emily Castiglia
Wanaque, NJ

- Jason was a cheerleader at the University of Toledo
