SETTING THE SCENE...
• The Bowling Green State University women's basketball team is back at the Stroh Center on Wednesday evening (Feb. 12). Head coach Robyn Fralick and the Falcons host Eastern Michigan University in a 7:00 p.m. start.
THE STARTING FIVE (FIVE MILDLY FASCINATING FALCON FACTS)
• The EMU game is the second of four-straight games vs. Mid-American Conference West Division foes. BGSU will play each of the directional Michigans over the next three contests, before ending the regular season with five consecutive intra-divisional games vs. fellow East Division foes.
• Eastern Michigan is the first opponent that BGSU will face for the second time this season. The Falcons have played one game against 10 of the other 11 MAC schools. The only team BGSU has yet to meet is league-leading Central Michigan, and the Falcons will face the Chippewas this weekend in Mount Pleasant.
• Saturday's Northern Illinois game was the Falcons' fourth overtime game of the year, a new school record. BGSU had played three OT games on four previous occasions – 1981-82 (1-2), 1991-92 (0-3), 2008-09 (3-0) and 2016-17 (1-2). For the Falcons, this year marks only the second time that three MAC regular-season games have required extra time (2008-09).
• The Falcons are averaging 73.6 points per game this year to date. BGSU has not averaged over 70 ppg in nine years, since the 2010-11 team scored 71.8 ppg.
• BGSU has scored 75 or more points in a game 10 times this season, surpassing the total (nine) for all of last season. The Falcons had not had 10 or more games of 75-plus points since the 2013-14 team had 12 such contests en route to 30 wins.
OFF THE BENCH (A SPECIAL SIXTH FACT FOR YOUR READING ENJOYMENT)
• Freshman Olivia Trice averaged 1.8 points per game over the Falcons' first 17 games of the season. Over the last five contests, she has averaged 5.6 ppg and shot 45.0 percent from the field. Trice hit nine field goals and scored 28 points over the first 17 games, and has made nine shots and scored 28 points in the last five contests.

A QUICK LOOK AT THE EAGLES
• Eastern Michigan is 11-11 overall, and the Eagles have a 6-5 record in MAC play. Four of the five league losses have been by seven points or less. Most recently, EMU picked up a road win against Western Michigan (83-79) on Saturday afternoon.
• EMU is 6-4 at home and 5-7 on the road this year to date. In MAC action, the Eagles are 3-2 in Ypsilanti and 3-3 in hostile venues.
• Areanna Combs leads the team with 18.3 ppg, while Aaliyah Stanley and Jenna Annecchiarico have 12.4 and 10.0 ppg, respectively. Annecchiarico had a career-high 31 points at WMU on Saturday, while Combs scored a career-best 32 in last month's meeting with the Falcons.
• Head coach Fred Castro returned eight letterwinners, including four starters, from last year's team. The 2018-19 Eagles finished with records of 14-17 overall and 6-12 in the MAC.
THE SERIES
The Falcons lead Eastern Michigan, 51-19, in the all-time series, and BGSU has captured 14 of the last 19 meetings. But, the Eagles have won each of the last four matchups, including a 78-61 win in Ypsi last month (Jan. 4, 2020). In last season's lone meeting (Jan. 23, 2019), host EMU picked up an 81-74 win despite a career-high 33 points from Andrea Cecil. Two years ago (Jan. 3, 2018), in the last meeting at the Stroh, EMU got a tip-in at the buzzer for a 54-52 victory. BG won 13-straight meetings with the Eagles between 2005 and '15. The Falcons are 28-5 in home games, 20-13 in road contests and 3-1 in neutral-site confrontations with the Hurons/Eagles over the years.
DOWN THE ROAD
• Following the EMU contest, the Falcons will hit the road to face league-leading Central Michigan on Saturday (Feb. 15) and Western Michigan next Wednesday (Feb. 19).
• Then, the Orange and Brown will end the month of February with three-straight home games, hosting Buffalo (Feb. 22), Ohio (Feb. 26) and Kent State (Feb. 29) in that time.
