Bowling Green, Ohio -- For a week, we asked our fans to vote for their favorite student-athletes of the past 20 years. Beginning this week, we will reveal one selection at a time each weekday over a five-week stretch. Today, we highlight your No. 22 pick for the top student-athlete of the past 20 years, men's basketball player Keith McLeod!
22. Keith McLeod (1998-02)

A Canton, Ohio native, Keith McLeod is one of the most prolific offensive players in the history of the BGSU basketball program.

McLeod led the Falcons to a MAC Championship and postseason berth during his sophomore season, and followed that up by earning a second team All-MAC selection in his junior year. During his senior campaign, McLeod scored 755 points, which is the third-highest season total in school history. He also averaged 22.9 points per game, which was first in the MAC and seventh in the nation, while ranking second for three-pointers made in a season with 89. McLeod led the Falcons to 24 wins, which is the most by any BGSU team since the 1948-49 squad.

McLeod's senior season concluded with him being voted MAC Player of the Year, AP All-American Honorable Mention, first-team NABC All-District, USBWA All-District, CollegeInsider.com All-American, and a member of the MAC All-Tournament team.

He is tenth in school history with a career average of 16.9 points per game, first in made free throws with 552, sixth in steals with 176, and is in the top 10 of three-point percentage. He proceeded to play professional basketball for 12 years, including stints in the NBA with the Minnesota Timberwolves, Utah Jazz, Golden State Warriors, and Indiana Pacers. He also spent time in the NBA Developmental League, the CBA and USBL, as well as in Sweden, Greece, Estonia, and Italy.

McLeod was included on the All-Anderson team in the 2010-11 season, and was inducted into the BGSU Hall of Fame in 2016. He is continuing his basketball career as an assistant coach at Canton GlenOak High School under Matt Hackenberg.
