Women's Golf Set To Conclude Fall Slate At Rocket Classic Invitational

PORT CLINTON, Ohio – The Bowling Green women's golf team will close out the fall portion of the schedule with the Rocket Classic Invitational this coming Monday and Tuesday. The event will be hosted by Toledo in Port Clinton, Ohio at the Catawba Island Club. After the Rocket Classic, the Falcons will pause competition until the spring, resuming play in February.
The two-day 54-hole tournament will span 6,118 yards and will feature a par-72 course. The first 36 holes will be played on Monday with the final 18 taking place on Tuesday. Both days of competition are scheduled for a 9 a.m. shotgun start.
Rocket Classic Invitational
The Falcons will be one of 10 teams competing at the Rocket Classic Invitational. In addition to Bowling Green and host Toledo the Mid-American Conference will be represented by Ball State, Central Michigan, Eastern Michigan and Ohio. The rest of the field will include Butler, Cincinnati, Indianapolis and Purdue Fort Wayne.

Falcon Notes
- This is the first time since 2015-16 that the Falcons have participated in the Rocket Classic. The Orange and Brown collected a fourth place finish at the event that year with a team score of 942.
- The 2015-16 season was the third consecutive that Bowling Green competed in the Rocket Classic. The Falcons took second place in 2013-14 and fourth in 2014-15.
- Individually, Kayla Davis is coming off a second place finish at the Shirley Spork EMU Invitational, marking her second top two finish over the last three events, winning the Cardinal Classic.
- The event will be the first of the season for Erin Korn.
