Falcon Facts
Series Info
Bowling Green holds a 33-26 series advantage over Central Michigan, with the Falcons winning the last four matches held in McGuirk Arena. The teams last met on March 5, 2021, a four-set win for BGSU that gave them a 13-0 record, a new program-best for consecutive wins to start a season. Julia Walz landed a career-high six aces for the Falcons, while Savannah Thompson registered 15 kills for the Chippewas.
Â
Opponent Information
The Central Michigan Chippewas have a 2-4 MAC record, with wins over Northern Illinois and Kent State. CMU has been successful at home, garnering a 4-1 record. They hosted and won the Chippewa Invitational, defeating North Dakota, Butler, and Youngstown State. Following that weekend, the MAC recognized three Chippewas as West Division Players of the Week. Savannah Thompson was named Offensive Player of the Week, while Grace Butler and Kamryn Olson shared the title of Setter of the Week. Central Michigan recently completed a four-game road trip, losing twice to Western Michigan before defeating Kent State and losing to Ohio.
Â
Coach Tomic's Take
"After playing the last four matches at home, the next two weeks will be a good test for our team's focus and consistency as we play our next three matches on the road and play five matches in two weeks. The MAC play is always unpredictable because any team can win on any given day, so our team needs to stay focused on the right things and eliminate distractions. Central Michigan is a very good team that will present different challenges and opportunities than what we have faced against our other opponents. We had a good week of practice, and our team is ready for another test in Mount Pleasant."

Up Next
