Isabelle Laube Earns AVCA’s Coaches4Coaches Scholarship For 2025 AVCA Convention
December 04, 2025 | Volleyball
BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – The American Volleyball Coaches Association announced their recipients of the 2025 AVCA Coaches4Coaches Scholarship, including Bowling Green's Isabelle Laube. Laube is one of 16 individuals in the country to receive the scholarship. Of the 16 people selected, Laube is the lone student-athlete among a group that consists of current graduate assistants, assistant coaches and other various coaching staff positions.
The scholarship will cover registration and hotel costs at this year's AVCA Convention, held in Kansas City, Mo. from Dec. 17-21. Laube, and the other recipients, will have the opportunity to network with successful coaches from all levels and take part in a diverse group of educational opportunities. This is the 17th year the scholarship has been presented by the AVCA and serves as a way to jumpstart coaching careers.
"As an alum of the Coaches4Coaches program, this scholarship holds a special place in my heart," said BGSU Head Volleyball Coach Alex DelPiombo. "I know firsthand how transformative this experience can be, both personally and professionally. Seeing Belle earn this opportunity is incredibly meaningful. I'm so proud of her dedication, and I'm grateful for the path this program opened for me in my own coaching career. I can't wait to watch how it shapes her future."
The Coaches4Coaches Scholarship was conceived as a way to engage young coaches and recent college graduates who are interested in pursuing a volleyball coaching position and give them a head start on their coaching career. Scholarship recipients have the opportunity to interact with successful coaches from all levels and explore the networking and educational opportunities available at convention that make this an annual can't-miss event. To be eligible for this scholarship, coaches must be AVCA members looking to attend the Convention for the first time.
"I am honored to receive this Coaches4Coaches Scholarship," said Laube. "The AVCA Annual Convention is a unique and special opportunity to learn and grow from the industry's best coaches. I know the diverse perspectives that can be gained from this experience will provide me with vital knowledge and skills I may not necessarily have had exposure to within my current circle as a student-athlete. I value the consistent, high-performance culture at BGSU; it has developed my resilience, refined my understanding of what effective leadership requires, and set me up for success. As I continue my journey and attend the AVCA Convention, I look forward to being exposed to new perspectives, strategies, and methods of coaching that build upon what I've learned at BG and help me develop as a coach."
Laube emerged as a leader for BGVB during her tenure with the Falcons. Stepping into a leadership role, Laube played a big part in the team's offseason working, organizing and leading the team through the spring and summer. This year, when injuries hit the Falcons, Laube stepped up into a new position overnight, aiding in the setting duties after being a defensive specialist throughout her time as a Falcon.
