Kayla Davis Takes Second At Shirley Spork EMU Invitational

YPSILANTI, Mich. – The Bowling Green women's golf team competed in the Shirley Spork EMU Invitational this week, seeing Kayla Davis tally another top two finish this season, concluding with sole possession of second place. The finish marks Davis' second top two finish in the last three events after winning the Cardinal Classic two weeks ago. Davis finished behind only Alissa Fish of Western Michigan who came to the clubhouse -6. As a team, the Falcons placed 10th in the field with a team score of 949. The Orange and Brown shot a combined team score of 313 in both the first and final rounds of the tournament with a score of 323 in the second.
"Congratulations to Kayla Davis for another fantastic event!" said Head Coach Stephanie Young. "Runner-up shooting +5 against a tough field this week at EMU is impressive. It was an honor for us to once again compete at the tournament named after Shirley Spork and all that she means to the game of golf. We look forward to finishing the fall season out strong next week at CIC."
