WHAT TO WATCH FOR...
• The Bowling Green State University women's soccer team begins the month of October with a rematch of last season's Mid-American Conference championship. Head coach Jimmy Walker and the Falcons, the three-time defending MAC champions, head to Muncie for a Thursday (Oct. 7) matchup with Ball State University. First touch is scheduled for 4:00 p.m. at Briner Sports Complex.
• Then, the Orange and Brown will return home for a Sunday (Oct. 10) matchup with Miami University. The Falcons and RedHawks will meet in a 1:00 p.m. start on Senior Day / Alumnae Day at Cochrane Stadium.

SENIOR DAY / ALUMNAE DAY
• Sunday will be Senior Day at Cochrane Stadium, and a total of nine team members will be recognized. That group includes Lili Berg, Nikki Cox, Zoe Hudson, Ruby Linton, Alexis Miller, Rachel Muller, Mackenzie Reuber, Lynsey Spotts and Madi Wolfbauer.
• It will also be Alumnae Day, with a number of Falcon greats from the first quarter century of the program expected to be on hand.
• BGSU has won five consecutive 'Senior Day' games since dropping a narrow 2-1 decision to Western Michigan on Oct. 25, 2015.

MAC CHAMPIONSHIP REMATCH
• Thursday's game at Ball State is a rematch of the 2020(-21) MAC Championship, which was played at Cochrane Stadium less than six months ago. On April 17, Katie Cox scored midway through the second half to break a 1-1 tie, and the Falcons went on to a 2-1 win.
• The Falcons and Cardinals have met in two of the last three conference championship contests. BGSU and BSU battled to a 1-1 draw in the 2018 final (Nov. 4, 2018), before the Falcons advanced past the Cardinals via penalty kicks.
TOUGH CROWD
• The Falcons finished the non-conference schedule with a record of 1-4-2. Six of BGSU's seven non-league opponents currently are in the top 77 in the RPI, with three of those schools (Michigan, Xavier and Notre Dame) in the top 21, and two (U-M and XU) in the top eight.
SUCCESSFUL IN THE MAC
• The Falcons have enjoyed great success in MAC play in recent years. BGSU advanced to the MAC Tournament's championship match in 2017 before falling in overtime, and the Falcons then proceeded to win both the regular-season and tournament titles in both 2018 and '19.
• In 2020 (actually 2020-21), the Falcons went 5-1-0 in MAC regular-season action, then defeated Ball State in the MAC Championship to advance to the NCAA Championships for the third-straight season.

• The Falcons went a perfect 4-0-0 at Cochrane Stadium in the spring, with all four wins coming against MAC opponents. BGSU outscored the foes, 10-1, in those four matches.
• BGSU enters Sunday's Miami match with a record of 30-6-5 at home since the start of the 2017 season. The Falcons are 23-3-3 against MAC teams at Cochrane Stadium in that time.
