Falcons Tabbed for Second in the MAC in 2021-22

Fleming named to preseason all-conference second team
CLEVELAND, Ohio  – The Bowling Green State University women's basketball team has been picked to finish second in the Mid-American Conference race in the 2021-22 season. The MAC office released the Women's Basketball Coaches' Preseason Poll and the Preseason All-MAC Teams – determined via voting by the league's 12 head coaches – on Thursday morning (Nov. 4).
Lexi Fleming was selected to the Preseason All-MAC Second Team. Fleming was the lone sophomore chosen to the preseason all-conference team.
Ohio was the choice of the coaches to win the MAC regular-season crown in 2021-22. The Bobcats received 132 points and four of the 12 first-place votes. The Falcons garnered 124 points and three first-place votes, with Buffalo (123 points, three first-place votes) right behind BGSU.
UB received five votes to win the MAC Tournament championship, with Ohio getting three votes, BGSU two and Ball State and Eastern Michigan one each.
Fleming, a native of Cincinnati, Ohio (Mercy McAuley), was named the MAC Freshman of the Year last season, and also was named to the All-MAC Second Team. She played in 27 of BGSU's 29 games in 2020-21, starting all 27, and led the team in scoring with 15.9 points per game. She also paced the Falcons in minutes played (33.1 mpg), free throws made (89) and attempted (111), FT percentage (.802), steals (67) and steals per game (2.48) in her initial season in Northwest Ohio.
ABOUT THE FALCONS
The Falcons welcome back 10 letterwinners, including all five starters, from last season's team. The 2020-21 squad, picked to finish 11th in the 12-team MAC in last year's preseason coaches' poll, went 21-8 overall, and finished 14-4 in league play to win the conference regular-season title. BGSU advanced to national postseason play for the first time in seven years, participating in the WNIT.
The Falcons were tied for second in the nation on the NCAA's list of top Division-I turnarounds from 2019-20 to '20-21. Â BGSU posted a 12-game improvement, going 21-8 last season after finishing with a 10-21 record the previous winter. BG's turnaround trailed only Mercer (13 1/2-game improvement from '19-20 to '20-21), and the Falcons tied with Alabama State and Delaware with a 12-game upswing.
MOBILE/PRINT-AT-HOME TICKETS
The BGSU Athletics Ticket Office offers only mobile and print-at-home tickets for the 2021-22 season. This allows Falcon fans to benefit in a variety of ways. Fans have instant access to their tickets, whether at home, work, or the site of the game. There is no need to worry any longer about losing or misplacing tickets because they are as close as your phone or laptop.

With this new system, delivery fees have been eliminated, saving up to $10. Fans can print their own tickets and bring them to the game or simply display the tickets on their phone when they arrive at the game. Fans will no longer need to wait for tickets in the mail or in line at will call.

Can't make it to the game or have an extra ticket? Fans can exchange a ticket for a future game, or can sell their tickets through StubHub. Meeting a friend at the game? Falcon fans can easily transfer a ticket to their friend's phone.
