Indrova and Walz Named MAC East Players Of Week

CLEVELAND – The Mid-American Conference announced Monday (Nov. 8) the MAC honors for volleyball for the past week of competition. Bowling Green junior Petra Indrova was named MAC East Offensive Player of the Week and Bowling Green senior Julia Walz was named MAC East Defensive Player of the Week. This is Indrova's fifth recognition and Walz's sixth recognition this season. As a team, the Falcons have had multiple weekly recipients on seven occasions.
MAC East Division Offensive Player of the Week
Petra Indrova, Bowling Green, Opposite Hitter
Petra Indrova helped the Bowling Green Falcons open November with two wins against Kent State. On Friday, Indrova notched 18 kills on a .289 attack percentage to help the Falcons sweep the Golden Flashes. BGSU swept KSU on Saturday, with Indrova registering a career-best 23 kills. She swung .404 on the evening and added 11 digs to log her ninth double-double of the season.
MAC East Division Defensive Player of the Week
Julia Walz, Bowling Green, Libero
Julia Walz played a large role in another strong defensive performance by Bowling Green. Walz tallied a team-high 11 digs on Friday as the Falcons swept Kent State. The next night, Walz registered 25 digs as BGSU limited KSU to an attack percentage of .111. Nine of her digs came in the final set, as the Falcons held the Golden Flashes to a .026 hitting percentage in the set.

The Falcons will play their final weekend series of the regular season in Athens. Bowling Green and Ohio play at 7 p.m. on Friday and 2 p.m. on Saturday.
