Hanna Laube Named MAC East Setter Of The Week

Cleveland, Ohio - The Mid-American Conference announced Monday (March 1) the MAC Honors for volleyball for the past week of competition. Of those named, Bowling Green's Hanna Laube earned the MAC East Setter of the Week honor, being her third time this season receiving the recognition.
Laube served as the Falcons' setter for all 10 sets in the two wins over Kent State, totaling 113 assists. In Thursday's (Feb. 25) five-set match, Laube logged 49 assists on 156 attempts with just two errors. She also had 13 digs for her second double-double of the season along with five block assists for a new single game career-high. As for Friday (Feb. 26), Laube surpassed 60 assists in a single game for the first time in her career with 64 while also landing two aces in the contest.
The Orange and Brown will return to action this coming week being on the road once again on Thursday and Friday (March 4 and 5) to oppose Central Michigan. The Chippewas will enter the series 7-5 while the Falcons are 11-0 and atop the MAC standings. Thursday's match is set for a 4 p.m. start while Friday will begin at 12 p.m. while both matches will be streamed on an ESPN platform.Â
