SETTING THE SCENE – BGSU HEADS TO ROCKFORD FOR POSTSEASON WNIT
• The Bowling Green State University women's basketball team returns to national postseason play for the first time in seven years. Head coach Robyn Fralick and the Falcons, the Mid-American Conference regular-season champions, head to Rockford, Ill., for the WNIT. BGSU will meet Creighton on Friday (March 19), with tipoff time set for 2:00 p.m. locally (3:00 p.m. ET) at the UW Health Sports Factory.
Then, on Saturday (March 20), the Falcons will face either Dayton or Northern Iowa, with tipoff time depending upon Friday's outcomes. Four of the eight teams will remain in Rockford and play a third game on Monday (March 22).
• The Falcons, after going 10-21 overall and 3-15 in the MAC last year, were picked to finish 11th in the 12-team league in '20-21, according to the preseason coaches' poll. BG proceeded to post a 14-4 MAC record to win the regular-season crown. Then, the Orange and Brown defeated Eastern Michigan and Buffalo in the MAC Tournament in Cleveland, before falling to Central Michigan in the championship game.
• BG is 20-6 overall entering Friday's Creighton contest.

• LIVE STATS: Live stats will be available for all BGSU games in 2020-21.
• TWITTER: In-game updates, along with key graphics and information, can be found on the BGSU women's basketball twitter account, @BGSUwbb.
Links to any and all ways to follow the Falcons will be available on the schedule page at BGSUFalcons.com on game day.
FALCONS IN THE WNIT
• The Falcons enter Friday's Creighton game with a 7-6 record in the Postseason WNIT over the years. BGSU is 7-5 in home games and 0-1 in away games, with this weekend marking the Falcons' first-ever neutral-site games in the tourney.
• BGSU participated in the WNIT in 1998, and the Falcons then were invited to the tourney five times in a seven-year span between 2008-14. That was part of a stretch in which BG made 10-straight national postseason appearances (five NCAA, five WNIT from 2005-14).
• Much more information on the Falcons and the WNIT can be found on pages 30-31 of the PDF.
20 IN '20-21 (FOR THE 20TH TIME)
• The 2020-21 BGSU team is the 20th in program history to win 20 or more games. BGSU reached the 20-win plateau in four-straight years under Fran Voll (1986-87 through 1989-90), then posted four 20-win seasons (1991-92 through 1993-94 and '97-98) with Jaci Clark at the helm.
• The Falcons then strung together a school- and MAC-record 11 consecutive 20-win seasons under coaches Curt Miller and Jennifer Roos, beginning in 2003-04 and extending through the '13-14 campaign. Then, however, BGSU went six-straight years without winning more than 11 games before the current team ended the drought.
A QUICK LOOK AT THE BLUEJAYS
• Creighton enters Friday's game with an overall record of 9-11, and the Bluejays went 6-7 in the Big East to finish sixth in the 11-team league. Creighton defeated Georgetown and Seton Hall in the conference tournament before falling by five points to second-seeded Marquette in the semifinals.
• Temi Carda has 15.3 points per game to pace three double-digit scorers. Emma Ronsiek and Tatum Rembao have 11.6 and 10.0 ppg, respectively, although Rembao has played in just nine games this season due to injury.
• The Bluejays went 2-5 at home and 5-5 on the road this season, and Creighton is 2-1 at neutral sites heading into Friday's game. Head coach Jim Flanery welcomed back nine letterwinners, including three starters, from a 2019-20 club that finished 19-11 overall and 11-7 in the Big East.
THE SERIES
• The Falcons trail Creighton, 2-1, in the all-time series. The teams' first-ever meeting came in the 1994 NCAA Championships, with the Bluejays capturing an 84-73 win at venerable Anderson Arena.
• The teams met in back-to-back years a decade ago, with BG winning a 79-53 decision at Anderson (Nov. 15, 2010) before Creighton captured a 49-47 victory in Omaha (Dec. 18, 2011).
DOWN THE ROAD
• BGSU will face either Dayton or Northern Iowa on Saturday (March 20), and that game will be at either 12:00 p.m. or 6:00 p.m. ET, depending upon Friday's results.
