Robin, Sullivan Named Candidates for Senior CLASS Award
March 24, 2021 | Men's Soccer
BGSU is the only school with two players named to the list
BGSU is the only school with two student-athletes among the 30 candidates for the men's soccer award.
A total of 60 NCAA® men's and women's soccer student-athletes who excel both on and off the field were selected as candidates for the award. To be eligible, a student-athlete must be classified as an NCAA Division I senior and have notable achievements in four areas of excellence: community, classroom, character, and competition. The complete list of candidates follows this release.
Sullivan, a native of Naperville, Ill. (North), leads the Falcons in goals, assists and points this season. He has 10 points through eight matches, and two of his three goals have been game-winning goals. With four assists, Sullivan has been directly involved in the scoring of seven of BGSU's eight goals. Both of his GWG have come against Mid-American Conference opponents, as he scored a 'Golden Goal' vs. SIUE on March 14, then found the back of the net midway through the second half at Northern Illinois on Sunday (March 21). In each case, Sullivan's strike was the only goal of the match. Sullivan has 45 career points in 62 matches as a Falcon, including 33 points in 29 matches since the start of the 2019 season.
Robin, who hails from Les Sables d'Olonne, France, has been a force at both ends of the pitch. This season, he is one of just two Falcons to have played every second of every match, and the defender has helped the Falcons post three-straight shutouts (vs. SIUE, West Virginia and NIU). An All-MAC First-Team selection in 2019, he has 17 career points in 43 matches. Robin has been on the field for every second of the last 34 matches, dating to mid-October of 2018. He has anchored a BGSU back line that has kept 16 clean sheets in those 34 matches.
An acronym for Celebrating Loyalty and Achievement for Staying in School®, the Senior CLASS Award focuses on the total student-athlete and encourages students to use their platform in athletics to make a positive impact as leaders in their communities.Â
Each of the 60 candidates has displayed a strong work ethic in the classroom and on the pitch. Outside of academics and athletics, all candidates have also been consistently involved in community service on their campus or in their communities.
Each of the two candidate classes will be narrowed to 10 finalists in April, and those 10 names will be placed on the official ballot. Ballots will be distributed through a nationwide voting system to media, coaches and fans, who will select one male candidate and one female candidate who best exemplifies excellence in the four Cs of community, classroom, character, and competition.Â
The Senior CLASS Award winners will be announced during the 2021 NCAA Men's and Women's College Cup® championships in May.

The Falcons (5-3-0, 3-1-0 MAC) return home for a Sunday (March 28) rematch with WVU. That contest will begin at 3:00 p.m. at Cochrane, and live stats and a free video stream of the match will be available.
