BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – The Bowling Green State University baseball team wraps up its 2021 season this week with five home games at Steller Field at Gary Haas Stadium. The Falcons host Miami University for a 3:05 p.m. game on Tuesday, prior to a four-game series with Northern Illinois over May 28-30. All five games will have live stats and will also stream for free on YouTube.
The Falcons swept Miami in a May 18 doubleheader last week to move to 14-21, which vaulted BGSU over Eastern Michigan in the Mid-American Conference standings. Tuesday's game serves as the last game of the series. BGSU is going for the sweep, having took the series opener on May 4 prior to the recent twin bill.
With five games to play, Bowling Green sits in eighth place in the MAC and is still within striking distance of MU (18-17) and Ohio (18-18). The Falcons are currently ahead of EMU (14-22), Northern Illinois (14-22) and Akron (8-32). With 16 overall wins in 2021, a 20-win season is still in play for BGSU, as well.
