Indrova, Laube Named MAC Players Of Week

CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Mid-American Conference announced Monday (Sept. 6) the MAC honors for volleyball for the past week of competition. Bowling Green junior Petra Indrova was named MAC East Offensive Player of the Week and Bowling Green senior Hanna Laube was named MAC East Setter of the Week.
Indrova and Laube helped the Falcons to a 2-1 record at this weekend's Shamrock Invitational. BGSU swept Notre Dame on Friday, with Indrova registering 19 kills on a .436 hitting percentage, both season-highs. Laube logged 35 assists and a career-best 13 digs, marking her second double-double of the season. The following day, Indrova logged 16 kills and a career-high 3 aces to help the Falcons outlast Milwaukee in five sets. Laube set a new season-high with 54 assists, the second-best assist total of her career. In the weekend finale, Indrova recorded 14 kills and 14 digs, marking her fourth double-double of the season. She also tallied a career-best 6 total blocks. Laube played in two sets, totaling 11 assists.
This is the third time Indrova was named MAC East Offensive Player of the Week. The first time came in 2019, with the other occurring in 2020-21. This is the fifth time Laube has been named MAC East Setter of the Week, with the previous four coming in the 2020-21 season.
The Falcons concludes the road portion of their non-conference schedule next weekend at the Panther Challenge, hosted by the University of Pittsburgh. The Falcons open at 12 p.m. on Friday, September 10 against No. 13 BYU. They will play two matches on Saturday, September 11, with the first coming against High Point at 11 a.m. BGSU concludes the weekend with a 7 p.m. match against No. 7 Pitt.
