Lauryn Hovey Named MAC East Offensive Player Of The Week

Hovey Earns Second Honor Of Season, Fourth Of Career
CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Mid-American Conference announced the MAC Players of the Week Monday afternoon (Oct. 16). Of those named, Bowling Green's Lauryn Hovey was named the MAC East Offensive Player of the Week. This is the fifth time the Falcons have received weekly awards this season and the second time for Hovey and her fourth offensive recognition of her career.
Hovey led the Falcon attack with 34 kills over the two matches against Ohio. She began by landing 15 in the first match while narrowly missing a double-double with nine digs. Hovey followed it up on Saturday by matching her season-high with 19 kills and seven digs. She also added a solo block as well as four block assists for a team-high 22 points in the match.
