Lauryn Hovey Earns Second Straight MAC Offensive Player Of The Week Award

CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Mid-American Conference announced the final MAC Players of the Week for the 2023 season Thursday afternoon (Nov. 16). Of those named, Bowling Green's Lauryn Hovey was named the MAC East Offensive Player of the Week. For Hovey, this marks her sixth time this season receiving the award and the eighth time of her career. It's also her second recognition in as many weeks and her fifth in the last six weeks with Kat Mandly winning the week it wasn't Hovey.

Hovey concluded the regular season with a strong match against the RedHawks. She logged a team-high 16 kills, maintaining a .480 hitting percentage on 25 attacks over the three sets played against Miami (OH). Hovey added a pair of aces for the Orange and Brown as well as four digs and two block assists.
