NORMAL, Ill. – The Bowling Green Falcons finished second in a tri-meet at Illinois State with Centenary on Friday night, inside CEFCU Arena. Illinois State took the meet with its best team score of the year at 195.200. BGSU tallied a 192.650 and Centenary finished third with a 186.200.
The event started 30 minutes late after the bars had to be repaired in the warmup. Taylor Jensen led BGSU with a 38.950 in the all-around, which placed third for the meet.
BGSU started on beam and Kathryn Weilbacher fell on her landing. Out of precaution, she did not compete in any of the remaining rotations and the Falcons did a tremendous job adjusting the lineup on the fly. Due to Weilbacher being sidelined, only five Falcons competed on vault.
