Falcons Flourish With PRs, Season-Bests, and First Place Finishes in Akron

Bowling Green takes first in four events, has three PRs and seven season-bests
AKRON, Ohio – The Bowling Green Falcons finished competition at the Akron Invitational with another spectacular day, winning four events and collecting a multitude of PRs and season-bests. Freshman Morgan Patterson won the 60 hurdles, while seniors Jemeila Hunter (200), Brianna Richard (triple jump), and Zaresha Neal (shot put) each notched a victory in their event. In addition to their wins, all four etched their names in the program record book once again, with each recording a time or mark that lands in the top-15.

Darian Braddix, Tianna Mulligan, and Ashley Kisor each recorded a PR in the 400, with Braddix and Alexis Parchman adding a season-best in the 200. Braddix placed third in both events. DaMya Barker matched her PR in the 60 hurdles, tallying a second-place finish. Also logging a second-place finish was the 4x400 relay team of Jemeila Hunter, Payton Gorman, Ashley Kisor, and Morgan Patterson.

Falcon Facts
- Darian Braddix (57.47), Tianna Mulligan (59.18), and Ashley Kisor (59.22) all recorded a PR in the 400.
- Morgan Patterson won the 60 hurdles with a time of 8.80. This is the 11th-best time in program history, with only four other racers compiling a faster time.
- Jemeila Hunter (24.83), Darian Braddix (25.39), and Alexis Parchman (25.96) each ran a season-best in the 200. Hunter's time ranks 11th in school history, with only seven people recording a faster time.
- Brianna Richard (40-11.75) registered a season-best in the triple jump and won the event. This mark ranks seventh in school history, giving her four of the top ten marks. Only one athlete (Huina Han) has recorded a mark better than Richard.
- Zaresha Neal's shot put mark of 54-7.25Â ranks 14th in school history. She now holds five of the top 15 and eight of the top 20 marks in program history.
- Alexis Parchman (36-0.25) and Morgan Patterson (35-10.25) made their collegiate debuts in the triple jump, taking fifth and sixth.
- DaMya Barker matched her PR in the 60 hurdles with a time of 8.82. Barker also competed in the 400 for the first time in her collegiate career, placing seventh in 58.78.
- Brianna Richard (7.81) ran the second-fastest 60 of her career, just 0.01 shy of her PR.
