Eight BGSU Gymnasts Named Academic All-MAC

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – The Mid-American Conference named eight members of the Bowling Green State University Gymnastics team to the 2023 Academic All-MAC list, as announced by the league today (April 21).
Lily Harsch and Taylor Jensen lead the way with 4.0 grade point averages. Lauren Bannister, Katelyn Goldstrom and Dahlia Solorzano-Caruso earned the honor for the second time in their careers, while Harsch and Jensen notched the accolade for the third time in their careers. Lexi Bornhorn, Emily Castiglia and Katrina Mendez Abolnik all earned the honor for the first time in their careers.
Academic All-MAC is awarded to a student-athlete who has excelled in both athletics and academics. To qualify, a student-athlete must maintain a 3.20 cumulative grade point average and have participated in at least 50 percent of the contests for that particular sport. First year freshmen and first year junior college transfers are not eligible.
