Falcons Travel To Allendale For GVSU Big Meet

ALLENDALE, Mich.— The Bowling Green track and field team will continue their indoor season when they travel to Allendale, Michigan for the GVSU Big Meet (Feb. 9 – Feb. 10). The annual Big Meet will be held in the Kelly Family Sports Center on Grand Valley State's Campus. The meet will begin at 8:30 a.m. on Friday and run till 8:30 p.m. The following day (Feb. 10) the Big Meet will start at 10:00 a.m.

Four members of the BGSU Cross Country team will be participating in the men's 5,000m run: Ben Myers, Anthony Sweet, Luke Woolard and Michael Worboy.

Last Time Out: Plethora of PRs in Meyo Invitational Pentathlon
Katherine Mendenhall and Jenna Lucas represented the Bowling Green State University Track and Field team at the Meyo Invitational on Friday, Feb. 2. Mendenhall and Lucas competed in the pentathlon in the Loftus Sports Center, hosted by Notre Dame. Lucas placed 3rd overall in the pentathlon with a score of 3,634, Mendenhall being close behind placing 4th with 3,609 points. Lucas now placed second overall in the BGSU Indoor records with a 3,634 points and Mendenhall is now third all-time with 3,609. Both athletes added two more PR's on the day, Mendenhall recorded a PR in the high jump (5' 8") and the 800m (2:25.82). Lucas recorded a personal best in the 60m hurdles (9.14) and the 800m (2:36.59).

The Falcons will conclude the 2023-24 indoor regular season next weekend when they travel to Ann Arbor, Michigan for the Silverston Invitational. The invitational will take place on Friday, Feb. 16 in the U-M Indoor Track Building. Be sure to visit BGSUFalcons.com.
