Meet Preview: Falcons Travel to Rubber City for Al Campbell Invitational

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio -- The BGSU throwers, sprinters and jumpers will head to Akron to compete in the Al Campbell Invitational on Friday, January 17 at the Stile Athletics Field House. Field events are set to begin at 4 p.m. while running events will start at 4:30 p.m. Members of 15 women's and 11 men's teams will be competing.

The running events will take place on Akron's 300m track, and there will be live results of the meet. Trista Fintel, the MAC's reigning Field Athlete of the Week, is set to compete for the Falcons.

It is the sixth year that the meet has been named in honor of the late Al Campbell, who passed away in December of 2019. He spent over 30 years as a coach and educator at the University of Akron, while also coaching women's teams at Walsh University for nearly 20 years.
