The Falcons Nest Coaches Show with Todd Walker Returns on Monday Night at Fricker’s with Fred Chmiel and Alex DelPiombo
November 17, 2025 | General, Women's Basketball, Volleyball
BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – The weekly Falcons Nest Coaches Show presented by Fricker's, returns Monday night (Nov. 17) on Falcon Sports Radio Network stations with just three shows remaining on the 2025 portion of the show's calendar. This week's show will feature two sports. Head women's basketball coach Fred Chmiel and head volleyball coach Alex DelPiombo will join the "Voice of the Falcons" Todd Walker from 6-7 p.m. at the Bowling Green Fricker's.
This year's show will be hosted in a special room at Fricker's with a maximum capacity of 55. Seating will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. To ensure an enjoyable and timely experience for all fans, there will not be autograph opportunities — but this creates a more interactive, conversational atmosphere to connect with BGSU coaches and fans.
Fans are encouraged to submit questions by clicking HERE. You can also interact with Todd Walker on Twitter at @FalconsVoice. For fans unable to make the show in person at Fricker's, the show can be heard locally on WFRO 99.1 FM, 100.7 FM in Toledo, 1280 WONW in Defiance and 970 WFUN in Ashtabula. There will also be streams through BGSUFalcons.com and "The Varsity Network" app from Learfield Sports.
The women's basketball team is coming off a road stretch against top programs, facing No. 2 South Carolina, Wisconsin and Marquette all on the road. The stops away will continue for the Falcons this week, heading to Alaska to play UC Irvine on Friday (Nov. 21) at 9:15 p.m. EST and then either St. Thomas or Alaska-Anchorage on Saturday (Nov. 22). The home opener for the Falcons is right around the corner, hosting Purdue Fort Wayne on Nov. 30 with a 2 p.m. tip. The game against the Mastodons will begin a six-game homestand for the Falcons that will span from Nov. 30 until Dec. 20.
The volleyball team has won three straight and is coming off a weekend sweep over Buffalo that clinched a spot for the Falcons in the MAC Tournament. Bowling Green will serve as the hosts for this year's conference championship while being the No. 6 seed in the field. The Falcons will begin play on Friday (Nov. 21) against No. 3 Ohio with a 7 p.m. first serve. The tournament itself will begin earlier in the day at 4 p.m. with a neutral site match between Miami (OH) and Toledo.
