Andrews, Hobson Earn All-MAC First Team Honors

BGVB Continues 10-Year Streak Of All-MAC First Team Selections
CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Mid-American Conference announced the MAC Awards for the 2025 volleyball season Thursday morning (Nov. 20). Of those named, the Falcons collected a pair of honors from the conference. Both Jessica Andrews and Avery Hobson earned All-MAC First Team honors. Bowling Green has now had at least one All-MAC First Team honoree in 10 consecutive seasons, going back to 2016 and an All-MAC recognition in 15 straight seasons, dating back to 2011.
Jessica Andrews, Senior, Middle Blocker: All-MAC First Team
One of two Falcons to appear in all 70 MAC sets, Jessica Andrews moved to the right side role for majority of the MAC schedule. Andrews totaled 179 kills, third on the team, while averaging 2.56 per set and maintaining a .274 hitting percentage from the new position. She added 70 blocks, second on the team, with an averaging of 1.00 per set. In total, her 223 points were second as well with a set average of 3.19. Andrews also grew into a serving role, landing seven aces including six over the final three MAC matches. For Andrews, this is her fourth All-MAC award and her first All-MAC First Team honor. She previously was named All-MAC Second Team in 2022 and 2024 while also being MAC All-Freshman Team in 2022.
Avery Hobson, Junior, Outside Hitter: All-MAC First Team
Avery Hobson was the catalyst of BGSU's attack in MAC play, logging a team-high 212 kills. Her average of 3.21 kills per set ranked seventh in the MAC during conference play and her 3.56 points per set ranked eighth. Hobson added five double-doubles during MAC play for the Falcons while averaging 1.71 digs per set. For totals, Hobson logged 113 digs, 24 blocks and 10 aces during the conference portion of the schedule, appearing in 66 of BGSU's 70 sets. This is Hobson's first honor as a Falcon. While at Duquesne, she earned A-10 All-Rookie Team in 2023.
