Falcons Open Meyo Invite with Strong Sprint Performances

SOUTH BEND, Ind. — Bowling Green opened the Meyo Invitational on Friday with four personal records and a season-best performance at Notre Dame.
In the sprint preliminaries, Kiera Bonds led the Falcons with a personal-best 7.59 in the 60m dash, while Morgan Patterson also posted a PR, finishing in 7.80. Jenna Lucas added a season best in the 60m hurdles, clocking a 9.17.
Alexsia Davis contributed another personal record in the 200m, running 25.29.
In distance action, Lexi Panning placed 17th in the 5000m with a time of 17:03.71, while Madison Foster finished 46th (18:19.06).
In the field events, Sierra Brinson recorded an eighth-place finish in the shot put, throwing 14.25m. Jenna Lucas (12.67m), Lily Tomasheski (12.23m) and Sierra Podolan (11.85m) also threw for the Falcons.
The Meyo Invitational continues Saturday at 11:30 a.m.
